The editorial board of the newspaper Aşgabat, together with the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, has announced a creative competition titled "My White City Ashgabat," dedicated to the Day of the Turkmen capital.
The main goal of the competition is to reflect the architectural identity of Ashgabat, its beauty, ecological well-being, the conditions created for a happy life, the high achievements reached, as well as the love of the Turkmen people for the country's capital.
Citizens of Turkmenistan of all ages, as well as representatives of creative professions, may participate in the competition. Participants may submit previously unpublished poems and articles that artistically reflect the beauty of Ashgabat, its magnificent urban and architectural appearance, achievements, and their significance. The volume of an article must not exceed three pages.
Submissions, marked "For the creative competition 'My White City Ashgabat'," must be sent to the editorial board of the newspaper Aşgabat by May 15 of the current year. The best articles and poems, selected by a specially formed jury, will be published in the newspaper Aşgabat.
The results of the competition will be announced on the eve of Ashgabat City Day — in the second decade of May. Winners will be awarded Certificates of Honor and commemorative gifts.
