On April 7, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on World Health Day, the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reported.
“World Health Day, widely celebrated thanks to your efforts across all corners of our beloved Homeland, promotes the development of mass physical culture, strengthens the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, and further reinforces the bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and humane relations between peoples. The organization of mass sports events, various competitions, and cycling races in the country, as well as achievements in healthcare and sports, confirm the success of your great deeds aimed at protecting the health of the people of Turkmenistan,” Hero-Arkadag noted.
“The presentation to you of the special World Health Organization award ‘For Contribution to Advancing Peace, Unity, and Diplomacy in Health’ is a sign of recognition by the global community of the high value of the work carried out and the results achieved in our country’s healthcare system.
Turkmenistan supports at the international level the common strategies of specialized United Nations bodies—the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the UN Population Fund—in ensuring health and well-being, achieving the harmonious physical and spiritual development of people, preserving environmental cleanliness, and improving the healthcare system,” emphasized the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty.
