President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on the construction of a new, modern town within the territory of the Ymambaba Gengeshlik in the Yoloten district of Mary province. This project is being implemented in accordance with the National Program for the Development of the Country for 2022–2052, aimed at improving the socio-economic condition of the regions and increasing the living standards of the population. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.

According to the document, the construction of the new town will be carried out in stages between 2026 and 2030. The construction of the new town will significantly contribute to the modernization of the region's infrastructure and the creation of new living and social conditions.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture has been instructed to develop the master plan for the new modern town within a three-month period. Additionally, a Directorate of Facilities Under Construction will be established under the ministry to carry out relevant supervision of the construction works.
