Ashgabat to celebrate TURKSOY opera days and Veli Mukhadov’s anniversary

On April 18, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. During the meeting, Vice-Premier Bahar Seyidova reported on the ongoing cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" online newspaper.

Preparations are currently underway to hold an opera concert in the capital this May, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Turkmen composer Veli Mukhadov. Additionally, it is planned to organize the TURKSOY Opera Days at a high level as part of this event.

Turkmenistan actively cooperates with TURKSOY in preserving the shared tangible and cultural values of Turkic peoples and promoting the heritage of great thinkers worldwide. The Vice-Premier submitted relevant proposals for holding these international cultural events to the Head of State for consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country attaches great importance to the development of international cultural relations. The Head of State instructed to ensure thorough preparation for the planned opera concert and cultural events, ensuring they are conducted at a high organizational level.
