On April 18, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahri Bashimova and a delegation of the International Labour Organization (ILO) led by Miranda Fayerman, according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties noted the systematic and sustainable nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ILO, including the improvement of the regulatory framework and the implementation of international labor standards.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the 2026 Cooperation Roadmap, which is viewed as a key instrument for achieving concrete and measurable results. The outcomes of the activities carried out were positively assessed, including the presentation of the 2025 survey results and the receipt of practical feedback at the local level.
During the negotiations, the importance of broader coverage of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ILO on international information platforms was emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and further develop cooperation.
