A telephone conversation was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Farzaneh Sadegh. This was reported by the press service of the foreign ministry of our country.
As noted, during the conversation held on April 20, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the implementation of agreements reached following the 18th meeting of the Turkmen-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which took place in Tehran on May 19-20, 2025.
The interlocutors also analyzed the current state and future directions of bilateral cooperation. It was specifically emphasized that cultural and humanitarian cooperation remains one of the priority areas of bilateral relations.
During the telephone conversation, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty for the humanitarian aid sent to the people of Iran, primarily children, on March 14 of this year on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. It was noted that this humanitarian aid served as a symbol of the friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries.
