The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working trip to the city of Arkadag on April 21. During the visit, the National Leader familiarized himself with the work being carried out in the second stage of the city's construction and the projects of new facilities to be built. Hero-Arkadag also held a working meeting with the participation of relevant officials. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.
Hero-Arkadag first inspected the major modernization works being carried out at a school specialized in foreign languages. It was reported that these works are being funded by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The National Leader noted that the school must be equipped with the most modern equipment, language laboratories must meet international standards, and all conditions must be created for developing the abilities of the youth.
As part of the reports on the second stage of the city's construction, interior design projects for new industrial, cultural, and social buildings were presented, including the building of the Arkadag Center. Projects for a future solar power station and the building complex of the agricultural university were also discussed. Hero-Arkadag emphasized that special attention should be paid to renewable energy sources and national architectural principles in the construction of facilities.
During the working meeting, the National Leader expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace and inadequate quality of some construction projects, particularly the Akhal-Teke Horses Avenue. Relevant officials were instructed to rectify the deficiencies in a short time and keep all work under constant supervision. It was noted that special importance should be given to the landscaping and ecological condition of the city.
Furthermore, a report on the preparations for the National Holiday of the Turkmen Steed was presented at the meeting. It is planned to commission new residential buildings and organize special exhibitions during the holiday days. Hero-Arkadag noted that the festive events should be held at a high level and that television programs celebrating the glory of Akhal-Teke horses should be prepared.
