A scientific round table dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held in Romania

On April 22, 2026, an international scientific round table was organized at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence and the motto of 2026 – «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses» – was held in a hybrid format with the participation of representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after A. Annayev, as well as leading scientific and educational institutions of Romania in the field of horse breeding.

Speakers emphasized the importance of developing the national horse breeding sector, achievements in equestrian sports, and highlighted the high level of Turkmen–Romanian cooperation, including in education and science.

Participants were presented with thematic presentations and video materials, and an exhibition was also organized illustrating the role of Turkmen horses in the life of the Turkmen people.
