On April 23, 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Narine Saakyan, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Turkmenistan, in Ashgabat. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the partnership between Turkmenistan and the UNDP.

The parties paid special attention to Turkmenistan's preparation of the Third Voluntary National Review on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals for its presentation in 2027 at the ECOSOC High-Level Political Forum.

The parties also discussed the implementation of current joint projects, resource mobilization, and the further promotion of interagency cooperation.

Following the meeting, they reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue in all identified areas.
