Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on April 24. During the meeting, important issues of state life, new draft laws, priority sectors of the economy, and upcoming holiday events were discussed. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
First, a report was presented on the modernization of the country's legislative framework. It was noted that work is underway on new draft laws regarding the creation of a jubilee medal for the 35th anniversary of Independence and the state registration of rights to immovable property. Information was also provided on the development of international cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy and participation in the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian States.
Within the framework of economic issues, proposals for financial support to agricultural producers, particularly in the livestock and poultry sectors, were approved. Simultaneously, to develop the oil and gas industry, specific tasks were identified for modernizing production facilities at the Seydi Oil Refinery and equipping them with new technology.
A report was given on the progress of the ongoing cotton sowing, care for wheat fields, and silkworm breeding. The Head of State instructed to ensure high-level preparations for the grain harvest season and the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse. Attention was also drawn to the improvement of the capital city, Ashgabat, and the conduct of decoration work for the holidays.
In the textile industry, a proposal was supported for the production of high-quality wool yarn from local raw materials and the commissioning of a new production unit at the textile complex in the city of Bayramali, Mary province. For the communications sector, instructions were given to conduct relevant work on training highly qualified specialists in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union.
The schedule for celebrations and building openings in May was approved. According to the plan, various events will be held on the occasion of Victory Day, the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag, Ashgabat City Day, and the Turkmen Carpet Festival. Ceremonies will be held to present commemorative gifts to veterans and home front workers on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In the field of foreign policy, with the aim of expanding relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the appointment of Turkmenistan's ambassadors to India and Malaysia as ambassadors to the Republic of Maldives and the State of Brunei Darussalam, respectively, was approved. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Honorable President congratulated the participants and the beloved people on the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, wishing them success in their work.
