Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov reported at the government meeting on April 24 on the events planned to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».
As noted, cultural and public events will be widely organized across the country on this occasion as a sign of deep respect for the heroism of compatriots. In particular, scientific and practical conferences dedicated to the significance of the teachings of the President of Turkmenistan on peace, friendship, and patriotism, discussions on the heroic pages of the war years, musical and song events, exhibitions, flower-laying ceremonies at the Memorial Complex «Halk Hakydasy» in Ashgabat, and in the regions at monuments that have become sacred sites of military glory are planned. Ceremonies for presenting festive gifts to war and labor veterans are also scheduled.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that all necessary conditions are being created in the country for war and labor veterans who have demonstrated high examples of heroism. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to present commemorative gifts to war veterans and to mothers who selflessly worked during the war years on the occasion of Victory Day, and to carry out the relevant work in this direction.
