Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported at the government meeting on April 24 on the schedule of main events and openings of social and cultural facilities planned for May of the current year. This was reported by the online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

As noted, various celebrations are planned for the upcoming month on the occasion of the motto of 2026 — «Independent, neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful winged horses», the 35th anniversary of the country’s Independence, Victory Day, Day of Constitution and State Flag of Turkmenistan, Day of Ashgabat city and Festival of the Turkmen Carpet.

Within the framework of cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the International Organization of Turkic Culture, it is planned to organize a concert in honor of the Opera Days of TÜRKSОY.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of proper preparation for the events scheduled for May in connection with the upcoming holidays.

The Head of State also instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure proper preparation for the opening ceremonies of social and cultural facilities and to guarantee their high organizational level.
