An international memorial campaign «Victory Dictation» was held in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, the international educational memorial campaign «Victory Dictation» was held at the venues of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary General Education School named after A.S. Pushkin and the Department of Education, Science and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation. The event was dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. This was reported by the onliine newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

Before the start of the dictation, the participants were addressed by Senior Assistant to the Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, Lieutenant Colonel Valery Devyatkov. In his speech, he emphasized the immortal feat of the multinational people who changed the course of world history and demonstrated an unbreakable strength of spirit. Devyatkov paid special attention to the significant contribution of the Turkmen people to the common Victory.

Devyatkov also recalled the selfless dedication of the home front workers of Turkmenistan. Thousands of residents of the republic’s towns and villages worked tirelessly day and night, providing the front with everything necessary and bringing the long-awaited Victory closer.
