A President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a Decree approving the National Forest Programme of Turkmenistan for 2026–2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

The document was adopted with the aim of strengthening the legal foundations of state policy in the field of environmental protection, defining the main lines of action to minimise the impact of climate change, enhancing the resilience of ecosystems and forestry to its consequences, as well as ensuring the successful implementation of Turkmenistan's National Climate Change Strategy.
