Turkmenistan adopts Program to become a Tobacco-Free Country by 2030

A President of Turkmenistan has signed a Resolution approving a National Program for Transforming the Country into a Tobacco-Free Nation for 2026–2030, along with the Action Plan for its implementation. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

The document was adopted with the aim of safeguarding the spiritual and physical well-being of the population, combating tobacco use, significantly improving public health and citizens’ welfare, increasing life expectancy, and implementing effective and comprehensive measures in this field.

According to the Resolution, ministries, government agencies, and the administrations of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, have been instructed to ensure the implementation of the above-mentioned National Program.
