High-level talks between the Head of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobahidze, took place in Tbilisi, held in both a one-on-one format and with expanded delegations. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the constructive dialogue, the sides highly praised the current level of interstate partnership based on the principles of mutual respect and equality. Special attention was paid to the stable growth of mutual trade turnover and the key role played by the Intergovernmental Commission. The leaders identified transport and energy as strategic vectors of interaction—specifically, the promotion of the «Lapis Lazuli» international transport corridor (Afghanistan–Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Turkey) and the development of the Caspian Sea–Black Sea transit route.
Alongside the economic framework, the interlocutors discussed in detail the expansion of scientific, educational, and tourism links, as well as cultural and humanitarian contacts, which are symbolized by the monuments to Shota Rustaveli in Ashgabat and Magtymguly Fragi in Tbilisi. The state visit culminated in the signing of a substantial package of bilateral documents aimed at the long-term expansion of the Turkmen-Georgian partnership.
