On August 20, 2026, a meeting was held at the headquarters of "The Centaurus Group" in Islamabad between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, and the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Tourism, National Coordinator, and CEO of "The Centaurus Group", Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on opportunities for further developing bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in the fields of tourism, culture, and humanitarian affairs.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized that the year 2026 is observed in Turkmenistan under the motto "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," and provided detailed information about the events organized as part of the nationwide celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence, aimed at developing national horse breeding and popularizing the world-renowned Akhalteke horses. Particular attention was given to the significance of the first Akhalteke Horse World Championship, which will take place on September 4–6, 2026, at the famous Equestrian Centre Peelbergen in Kronenberg (Kingdom of the Netherlands).

The Pakistani side expressed interest in establishing and developing cooperation in equestrian sports between the relevant agencies of Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
