On August 28, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system. Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the ongoing work to develop the nation's legislative framework, as reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Currently, work continues on improving national legislation across several key areas. In particular, efforts are underway to draft the Law of Turkmenistan "On E-Commerce," as well as to prepare amendments and additions to the Criminal, Customs, Labor, Sanitary, and Family Codes, along with other relevant legislative acts.
It was also stated that measures are being implemented to provide legal backing for Turkmenistan's accession to international documents, prepare for the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan at a high organizational level, and nominate citizens working productively in various sectors for state awards.
To enrich the experience of the Mejlis deputies in the legislative field, information was provided regarding their working visits to the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as their participation in workshops and meetings organized by United Nations entities in cooperation with the relevant state institutions of our country.
Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of comprehensive preparations for the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as the need to consistently continue efforts to develop the country's legal system and further strengthen its legislative foundation.
