New measures defined for the development of the energy sector

On August 28, during a regular digital Cabinet of Ministers meeting chaired by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Vice-Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the work being carried out by the Ministry of Energy. Information was presented regarding ongoing efforts to increase the production capabilities of the nation's electric power system and ensure the efficient and reliable operation of its facilities. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" (Türkmenistanyň: Altyn asyr).

According to the Vice-Prime Minister, systematic measures are currently being implemented at power plants, thermal power stations, power transmission lines, and substations. Special importance is attached to cooperation with foreign companies. The ongoing work is aimed at further increasing the production capacity of the energy sector and ensuring a stable, uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers. During the meeting, the Vice-Prime Minister submitted a draft of the relevant document for the Head of State's consideration.

After listening to the report, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the effectiveness of the ongoing work to develop the energy system and strengthen its material and technical infrastructure. In the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in order to develop the country's power sector and ensure a reliable, uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers, the President of Turkmenistan signed the relevant Resolution. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy was instructed to carry out the necessary tasks to reinforce the material and technical base of the "Turkmenenergo" State Electricity Corporation and to fulfill all requirements stemming from the adopted act.
