Material and technical infrastructure of Turkmenistan's railway system is being strengthened

On August 28, during a regular digital Cabinet of Ministers meeting chaired by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Vice-Prime Minister Batyr Annaev reported on ongoing work within the country's railway transport sector. The report outlined measures being implemented to modernize and expand the system's material and technical infrastructure. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

According to the Vice-Prime Minister, relevant work is actively progressing in this area, with particular emphasis placed on expanding cooperation with leading foreign companies. The measures being carried out are aimed at expanding the capabilities of the railway system, raising its throughput capacity, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of passenger and freight transportation. During the meeting, the Vice-Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the Head of State's consideration.

After listening to the report, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of efforts to advance the national railway transport sector and reinforce its material and technical foundation. The Head of State supported the proposal aimed at boosting the railway system's throughput capacity and instructed the Vice-Prime Minister to continue the necessary work in this direction.
