On August 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Turkmenistan Philippe Merlin, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ashgabat.

The French Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the warm hospitality.

During the meeting, the sides highlighted the consistent development of Turkmen-French relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

It was particularly emphasized that high-level and top-level contacts serve as a key factor in the development of interstate ties.

The meeting covered trade and economic cooperation, which stands as one of the main vectors of bilateral partnership, specifically in agriculture, water management, and green technologies.

The sides noted the effectiveness of long-standing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian fields.
