On August 28, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Pęksa, who is completing her diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the sides highly appreciated the current level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union, covering political, economic, transport, energy, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The effectiveness of joint projects and programs was noted, including in the fields of the rule of law, human rights, ecology, digitalization, transport, and the private sector.
In addition to bilateral partnership mechanisms, the sides emphasized the importance of interaction within the "EU – Central Asia" format.
At the meeting, gratitude was expressed to Ambassador Beata Pęksa for her significant contribution to the development of friendly ties between Turkmenistan and the European Union.
