On September 2, an event dedicated to the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will be held on September 23, 2026, in the city of Ashgabat, as well as to the international significance of the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to declare 2028 the Year of International Law, was held at the building of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan (city of Aktau).

The ceremonial event was attended by students studying in the city of Aktau, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora residing in the Mangystau region, as well as staff of the Consulate.

Participants of the event were given detailed information about the work carried out by the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, its role in the socio-political life of the country, and the significance of the Halk Maslahaty in determining the directions for the future development of our neutral Fatherland. It was also noted that during the sessions of the Halk Maslahaty, the successes achieved are summarized, the milestones reached are analyzed, and long-term prospective tasks are defined.

At the conclusion of the event, an exhibition of paintings demonstrating the achievements of Turkmenistan during the years of Independence was organized.
