A meeting with Turkmen students studying at higher education institutions in Korea was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea. The main topic of the meeting was the political significance of the upcoming session of the Khalk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will take place on September 23, 2026.

During the meeting, Begench Durdyyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, informed the students about the most important socio-political events taking place in the country, as well as the foreign policy initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

It was noted that the upcoming session of the Khalk Maslahaty will become an important political platform for summarizing the work carried out, assessing the results achieved, and determining priority directions for the further socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.

Special attention during the meeting was devoted to the international significance of the United Nations General Assembly resolution "Year of International Law, 2028," adopted on July 24, 2026 on the initiative of Turkmenistan. It was noted that the adoption of this resolution reflects the significance of Turkmenistan's consistent efforts to strengthen international law, develop multilateral cooperation, and promote the principles of peace, trust and mutual understanding.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on current issues of interest to Turkmen students studying in the Republic of Korea.
