On September 7, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev and the hakims of the velayats, at which issues of the development of the agricultural complex and the progress of work in the country's regions were considered. The floor was first given to the hakim of the Akhal velayat, T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal field campaigns in the region.

As was noted, preparations are currently underway for the festive events marking the start of the cotton harvesting season.

In the velayat, wheat sowing has begun in an organized manner, and the necessary measures are being taken to carry it out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements. Agricultural machinery is being deployed at full capacity in the sowing campaign, and work continues to fully provide wheat producers with high-quality seeds.

On the areas sown with winter potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and other agricultural crops, care is being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical norms.

The hakim also reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and production facilities, the commissioning of which is timed to coincide with the country's Independence Day.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of carrying out wheat sowing within agrotechnical deadlines, as well as the organized start of cotton picking, giving the hakim specific instructions on this matter.

The Head of State ordered that strict control be maintained over the high quality and timely completion of construction work at facilities of various purposes, the commissioning of which is timed to coincide with the glorious holiday of sacred independence.

Then the floor was given to the hakim of the Balkan velayat, R. Jumayev, who reported on the seasonal agricultural campaigns being carried out in the region.

As was noted, preparations are underway in the velayat for events marking the start of the cotton harvesting season.

Along with this, wheat sowing continues in the velayat, and the necessary measures are being taken for the effective use of agricultural machinery and to provide grain growers with high-quality seeds.

Guided by the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on further strengthening food abundance in the country, care is currently being carried out on the areas sown with winter potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and other food crops.

The head of the region's administration reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and production facilities, the opening of which is timed to coincide with the glorious 35th anniversary of the country's independence.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the currently ongoing seasonal agricultural events and, in this connection, noted the need to take proper measures for the high-quality and organized conduct of wheat sowing and the harvesting of the grown cotton crop without losses, giving the hakim corresponding instructions.

The Head of State also ordered that strict control be maintained over the high quality of construction work and its completion within established deadlines at facilities whose commissioning is planned for the glorious holiday of sacred independence.

The working meeting then continued with a report by the hakim of the Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was noted, cotton ginning enterprises, receiving stations, combines, and vehicles for transporting the harvested cotton crop are ready for the season, and preparations are currently underway for the ceremonial start of cotton picking.

In the velayat, the necessary measures are being taken for the high-quality conduct of wheat sowing in accordance with agrotechnical norms. Agricultural machinery is being deployed at full capacity, and producers are being provided with high-quality seeds.

Along with this, corresponding care continues on the areas sown with winter vegetable and melon crops, rice, and other agricultural crops.

It was also reported on the progress of construction of facilities planned for commissioning this year under the Programs for the Socio-Economic Development of the country.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the high-quality and timely conduct of seasonal agricultural campaigns is a necessary requirement, and in this connection instructed the hakim to keep them under control.

In accordance with the instructions of the Head of Turkmenistan on the systematic increase of production volumes of food agricultural crops in the country, care continues in the region for winter potatoes, sugar beets, and other crops.

Having heard the report, the Head of State emphasized the importance of the organized and timely completion of the agricultural work currently underway and instructed the hakim to take proper measures to ensure that wheat sowing is carried out within established agrotechnical deadlines and full readiness for the cotton harvesting season.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural campaigns continuing in the country.

As was noted, with the blessing of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, corresponding preparatory work is being carried out in the velayats of the Motherland for the start of cotton picking, scheduled for September 9 of this year.

At present, wheat sowing continues on the country's agricultural lands. In order to carry out this important campaign in a high-quality and timely manner, the necessary measures are being taken to deploy agricultural machinery at full capacity, as well as to provide producers with high-quality seeds.

Along with this, care for winter food crops is being carried out in the velayats. In the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, care for rice continues, while in the Mary velayat, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilizer application, and vegetation irrigation of sugar beets are being carried out.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significant role of the agricultural sector in the national economy and, in this connection, noted the need to carry out the current seasonal agricultural campaigns at a high organizational level, instructing the vice-premier to keep the work being conducted in this direction under control.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the Head of State noted the importance of proper preparation for the start of cotton picking in the velayats, carrying out wheat sowing at a high level in accordance with agrotechnical norms, effective deployment of agricultural machinery and seeders in wheat sowing, providing grain growers with high-quality seeds, as well as taking measures to prevent the emergence of pests in cotton fields.

Focusing attention on the work to further strengthen food abundance in the country, the Head of State ordered that proper care be ensured for winter potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and other agricultural crops in the velayats in accordance with agrotechnical norms, as well as for rice in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and for sugar beets in the Mary velayat, within the established deadlines.

In addition, the President of the country gave corresponding instructions on the timely settlement of accounts for completed work between wheat and cotton producers and the servicing enterprises and institutions in the regions, as well as on strict control over the progress of construction of social, cultural, and production facilities, the opening of which is planned in the velayats on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
