On September 9, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Byashimova and Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Uzbek relations across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian fields. The diplomats highlighted the effectiveness of the long-standing strategic partnership founded on the principles of good-neighborliness, trust, and mutual respect.

Special attention during the conversation was paid to further refining mechanisms for political-diplomatic interaction, as well as coordinating efforts on international and regional platforms, particularly within the United Nations.

The sides also discussed in detail the organization of upcoming joint events aimed at further deepening the interstate dialogue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the interlocutors expressed their readiness to make joint efforts to further strengthen and fill the partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan with new practical substance.
