President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in a digital format on September 11. During the meeting, Vice Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported on preparations for the scientific and practical conference titled “Innovations and Digital Technologies as Driving Forces of Economic Development”. The electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reported this.

It was noted that the conference, which will be held in Ashgabat in September, will focus on discussing important issues related to the socio-economic reforms being implemented in the country, ensuring the innovative development of the national economy and the future directions for the advancement of the digital economy.

The event will pay special attention to the opportunities for applying advanced technologies in public administration and various sectors of the economy, improving the electronic government system, artificial intelligence, financial technologies, digital services, modernization of production processes, training highly qualified specialists and studying international experience.

After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that great importance is attached in the country to the innovative development of the economy and the widespread introduction of modern digital technologies across various sectors. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to continue the relevant work to organize the scientific and practical conference dedicated to key areas of economic development at a high organizational level.
