To His Excellency
National Leader of the Turkmen people,
Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan
Mr. Gurbanguly BERDIMUHAMEDOV
Your Excellency!
On behalf of the European Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association, as well as on my own personal behalf, allow me to express to You our sincere gratitude for Your invaluable support, leadership, organization, and personal presence at the World Equestrian Championship and Akhal-Teke Beauty Contest, along with the accompanying international events, held at the «Peelbergen» Equestrian Centre in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
It is a great honor for our Association to be a part of such a historically significant event. For the first time, in the very heart of Europe, we succeeded on such a grand scale in bringing together a large number of top-tier Akhal-Teke horses, their owners, breeders, experts, equestrian industry professionals, admirers of this magnificent breed, as well as representatives from various countries and communities.
This championship attracted an exceptionally broad and diverse audience and generated significant interest both within the professional horse-breeding community and among the general public. Even after its conclusion, we continue to receive numerous positive reviews from participants, visitors, and specialists who were deeply impressed by the high standard of organization, the atmosphere, and its unique character. Many of them note that they experienced unforgettable emotions, that these events sparked immense interest, and that they eagerly look forward to participating in similar events again.
It is precisely thanks to Your leadership that this outstanding achievement became possible. Your personal presence gave the championship special significance and elevated it far beyond a standard equestrian competition. This vibrant showcase transformed into an international platform, opening new opportunities for promoting the Akhal-Teke breed and allowing an even broader global audience to discover its exceptional beauty, history, and heritage.
These equestrian events clearly demonstrated that the Akhal-Teke horse is not only one of the world's oldest and most outstanding breeds, but also a powerful symbol capable of bringing people and cultures together.
The comprehensive nature of the program gave it particular significance. Alongside the championship, hosting an international conference and discussions among experts, breeders, and representatives of the horse-breeding community on future prospects of industry development, preservation, breeding of the Akhal-Teke breed, and its promotion on the global stage enabled the sharing of accumulated knowledge, experience, and proposals.
At the same time, the cultural program served as a wonderful platform to rediscover Turkmenistan for our guests. Thanks to the horses, showcased traditions, art, music, and principles of hospitality, a broad audience was able not only to connect with Your country's rich cultural heritage, but also to feel the warmth and noble spirit of the Turkmen people. The celebrations dedicated to this became a unique bridge of friendship, uniting horse-breeding traditions, science, and the cultures of different nations.
We express our special gratitude to Your Excellency for putting forward this important initiative and leading it, as well as for Your unwavering, multi-year commitment to preserving and promoting the Akhal-Teke breed as one of the greatest treasures of world culture and equestrian heritage.
I am confident that the success of this first major international equestrian event will provide a powerful impetus for further cooperation and mark the beginning of a new chapter in promoting Akhal-Teke horses across Europe and beyond.
We enthusiastically welcome Your initiative to host the next championship in five years, and we hope to work together to bring this initiative to life.
We sincerely believe that our cooperation will continue to strengthen and grow.
I wish to express my gratitude to Your Excellency for Your foresight, leadership, and personal contribution to the successful holding of these historically significant events!
With sincere respect,
Marian WELTEVREDEN,
Head of the European Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association
