On September 14, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova and Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Turkmenistan Petru Burduzha. This was reported by the ministry’s press service.

During the meeting, the current state of Turkmen-Moldovan relations, as well as opportunities for further development of interparliamentary cooperation, were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening friendly ties between the two countries and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas.

The interlocutors highlighted the significant role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening mutual understanding and trust between states. In this regard, the parties confirmed their readiness to further contribute to the development of cooperation between the legislative bodies of Turkmenistan and Moldova.
