On September 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of his state visit to the Republic of Korea, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Kim Min-seok.

Warmly welcoming the high-ranking guest, the head of the Government of the friendly country noted that the current visit of the head of Turkmenistan opens a new page in the history of interstate relations. At the same time, it was emphasized that today's summit-level talks with President Lee Jae-myung would give a powerful impetus to raising Turkmen-Korean cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

Thanking her for the hospitality shown, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated Ms. Kim Min-seok on her appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea and wished her great success in such a responsible position.

As was noted, the consistent development of constructive partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation with the countries of the world is among the priority directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. In this connection, it was emphasized that our country attaches great importance to expanding relations with the Republic of Korea.

In the modern era, effective bilateral cooperation is being carried out in various directions, said the head of Turkmenistan, expressing confidence that the results of the current state visit would contribute to the further strengthening of the partnership between the two countries.

As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, this visit is regarded as an important stage in the development of Turkmen-Korean cooperation and an opportunity to give new impetus to interstate dialogue. At the same time, it was noted with satisfaction that our countries are bound by long-standing relations of friendship, mutual respect and trust.

Our country regards the Republic of Korea not only as a reliable economic partner, but also as an important technological and innovation partner, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, inviting Prime Minister Ms. Kim Min-seok to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for her.

Thanking him for the invitation, the head of the Government of the Republic of Korea noted the significance of the proposals voiced by the head of state.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Ms. Kim Min-seok, expressing confidence in the further effective development of Turkmen-Korean cooperation, wished each other success in their responsible endeavors, and the peoples of the two countries – peace and prosperity.
