On September 18, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system, at which a number of state matters were reviewed.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported on the measures being taken to improve the activities of museums. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

As reported, with the aim of organizing at a modern level the work being carried out in museums to broadly popularize the rich heritage and glorious history of the Turkmen people, to preserve the values inherited from ancestors for future generations, and in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan "On Museums and Museum Affairs," draft versions of the List of Museum Categories and the Procedure for Assigning Categories to Museums have been prepared.

In this connection, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a draft of the corresponding Resolution for the head of state's consideration.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of a Powerful State, great importance is attached to popularizing the rich heritage and glorious history of the Turkmen people. Having signed the document prepared with the aim of improving the activities of museums, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work in this area.
