On September 21, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev and the hakims of the velayats, at which issues related to the progress of work in the agricultural complex and in the regions of the country were considered. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The floor was first given to the hakim of Ahal velayat, T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of the seasonal field campaigns in the region.

As reported, sowing of winter wheat is currently continuing on the velayat's farmland. Agricultural machinery and equipment are being optimally deployed in the sowing campaign, and dayhan grain growers are being supplied with high-quality seeds. Irrigation is being carried out on the sown fields to obtain seedlings.

At the same time, work is underway to harvest the grown cotton crop within short timeframes and without losses. To this end, the necessary measures are being taken for the efficient operation of combine harvesters and other relevant machinery, as well as for the uninterrupted reception of harvested raw cotton at collection points and cotton-ginning enterprises.

On the velayat's land plots sown with autumn potatoes, vegetables, melons and gourds, and other food crops, work is being carried out to tend to the crops and harvest the yield.

It was also reported on preparations for the festive events marking the glorious 35th anniversary of the Motherland's independence.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the organized conduct of the ongoing seasonal agricultural campaigns, in particular wheat sowing and cotton harvesting, and gave the hakim specific instructions in this regard.

Next, the hakim of Balkan velayat, R. Jumayev, reported on the seasonal agricultural work being carried out in the region.

It was reported that wheat sowing is currently continuing, with appropriate measures being implemented for the efficient use of specialized machinery and to supply agricultural producers with high-quality seeds. On the fields where sowing has been completed, irrigation is being carried out to obtain seedlings.

Along with this, the cotton harvest season continues in the velayat. Corresponding work is being carried out to harvest cotton without losses and within optimal timeframes, as well as to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested "white gold" crop to cotton-ginning enterprises and collection points.

Proceeding from the tasks set for the further strengthening of food abundance in the country, work is being carried out to tend to the fields allocated for autumn potatoes, vegetables, melons and gourds, and other crops.

Corresponding preparations are also underway for the organized holding of cultural and mass events marking the significant date — the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

Summarizing the report and noting that a responsible season is currently continuing in the agricultural sector, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the hakim to take the necessary measures to carry out wheat sowing within the agrotechnical timeframes and to harvest the grown cotton crop without losses.

Next, the hakim of Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, appropriate measures are being implemented in the velayat to carry out wheat sowing within the established timeframes, in accordance with agrotechnical standards and with high quality. Uniform seedlings are being obtained on the sown fields. In addition, moisture-charging irrigation is being carried out on the areas designated for wheat sowing.

At the same time, steps are being taken in the velayat to accelerate the pace of the cotton harvesting campaign, to harvest the grown "white gold" crop within short timeframes and without losses. Combine harvesters and other machinery are being effectively deployed in the harvest season. The harvested raw cotton is being transported uninterruptedly to collection points.

At the same time, work is being carried out in the region to tend to the winter vegetables, melons and gourds, and other food crops, and preparations are underway to harvest the grown yield.

Care of the rice fields in the velayat also continues in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

Along with this, it was reported on preparations for the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the Motherland's independence.

Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan identified among the priority tasks the timely and high-quality conduct of wheat sowing, and the harvesting of the cotton crop grown through the painstaking labor of the dayhans within short timeframes and without losses, giving the hakim a number of specific instructions in this regard.

The working meeting continued with a report by the hakim of Lebap velayat, Kh. Ashyrmyradov, who reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to carry out wheat sowing with high quality within the agrotechnical timeframes, agricultural machinery and equipment are being deployed at full capacity. Irrigation is being carried out on the sown fields to obtain seedlings.

The velayat is taking the necessary measures to accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting and to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested crop to cotton-ginning enterprises and collection points. Particular attention is being paid to the efficient operation of the agricultural machinery used in the harvest season.

Guided by the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on the further strengthening of food abundance in the country, work continues in the region to tend to the plantings of autumn potatoes, vegetables and melons, and rice.

In this important campaign, agricultural machinery is being deployed at full capacity, and the necessary work to obtain seedlings is being carried out on the sown fields in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

Effective measures are also being taken to increase the pace of the cotton harvest, to carry out the "white" harvest season within the shortest possible timeframes and without losses. Great attention is being paid to ensuring the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested raw cotton to collection points and cotton-ginning enterprises, and to the efficient operation of cotton-harvesting combines, as well as the motor vehicles used to transport the crop.

Along with this, work is being organized in the velayat to tend to autumn potatoes, vegetables and melons, and other agricultural crops, as well as to harvest the grown yield.

On the fields sown with sugar beet, inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers, and vegetation irrigation continue.

The hakim also reported on preparations in the region for cultural and mass events marking the glorious holiday — the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's sacred independence.

Having heard the report, the head of state noted the significance of the field campaigns currently underway in the country's agriculture. In this regard, the hakim was instructed to ensure the high-quality and organized conduct of the work underway on the region's farmland, in particular wheat sowing and cotton harvesting.

As reported, appropriate work is currently being carried out in the country's velayats to conduct wheat sowing within the established agrotechnical timeframes. The necessary measures are being taken to optimally deploy agricultural machinery in the sowing campaign and to supply grain growers with high-quality seed material. Irrigation is being carried out on the wheat-sown fields to obtain seedlings.

In addition, everything necessary is being done to harvest, within short timeframes and without losses, the "white gold" crop grown through the selfless labor of cotton growers. Measures are being taken to deploy agricultural machinery at full capacity, as well as to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of the harvested crop to cotton-ginning enterprises and collection points.

At the same time, in order to fulfill the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on growing a rich harvest of potatoes, vegetables and melons, and other crops in the country, organized care of food crops is being carried out. Work is also being done to harvest the grown yield and supply the population with this produce.

Along with this, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, care of the rice fields continues in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and of the sugar beet fields in Mary velayat.

Summarizing the report and emphasizing the important role of the agricultural sector in the national economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime minister to keep under control the work on the further development of the sector and the strengthening of food abundance in the Motherland through the regular increase in the volume of agricultural products produced.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state again drew attention to the seasonal agricultural campaigns currently underway in the country. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of conducting wheat sowing in the velayats at a high organizational level, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, with the efficient operation of specialized machinery and equipment, the timely conduct of moisture-charging irrigation and watering of the sown areas, as well as taking the necessary measures to obtain uniform seedlings on the wheat fields.

Focusing on the cotton harvest season, the head of state gave corresponding instructions to accelerate its pace in the regions, to harvest the grown crop within the shortest possible timeframes and without losses, and to optimally deploy combine harvesters and other machinery, cotton-ginning enterprises, and collection points in the campaign.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered that proper care of autumn potatoes, vegetables, and other agricultural crops be ensured in the velayats in accordance with agrotechnical standards, and that measures be taken for the timely harvesting of the grown crop without losses. In addition, it was instructed that care of the rice fields in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats and of the sugar beet areas in Mary velayat be carried out properly and within the established timeframes. The head of state also gave instructions regarding the timely settlement of accounts between wheat and cotton producers and the servicing institutions and enterprises for the work performed on this year's harvest.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of thorough preparation in the velayats for the 35th anniversary of the Motherland's independence.

Concluding the working meeting, the head of Turkmenistan wished its participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
