The 12th International Peace Festival was held in Beijing's Peace Park, organized by the China International Peace Foundation and the Beijing International Culture and Peace Foundation in close cooperation with the embassies of Turkmenistan and Austria in China. The event was attended by foreign ambassadors and diplomats accredited in China, representatives of international organizations, scholars, and other guests, who noted the importance of intercultural understanding and the promotion of peace.

As part of the festival, speeches and exchanges of views were held on topics relevant to the world community: the peaceful settlement of conflict situations, global governance, intercultural cooperation, cultural exchanges along the Silk Road, youth development, and international humanitarian assistance.

During the event, the role of Turkmenistan in strengthening peace and trust in its interaction with the United Nations, which is the foundation of international peace and the guarantor of the interests of all peoples, was noted. Cooperation with the UN remains one of the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, especially in matters of the peaceful settlement of interstate disputes.

This year, at the 106th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a resolution titled "2028 — International Year of Law" was adopted by consensus on the initiative of Turkmenistan. The document was co-sponsored by 78 states, which testifies to the broad international support for this initiative.

As part of the festival, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China organized a large-scale photo exhibition dedicated to the motto of the current year, as well as an exhibition of folk art and applied art items reflecting the rich heritage of national traditions. The exhibition featured works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, photographs of the country's modern life, cultural and historical monuments, national jewelry, and other symbols of Turkmen culture.

The exhibition gave guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Turkmenistan's historical and cultural heritage, and also underscored the importance of preserving and promoting traditional values in the modern world.
