On September 22, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday and wished him robust health, happiness, as well as great success in his state activities for the benefit of the Turkmen people.

Taking the opportunity, the head of the friendly state asked that warm words of greeting be conveyed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who makes a great contribution to strengthening and steadily developing relations between the two countries on the basis of friendship, brotherhood and good-neighborliness.

Having thanked him for the congratulations and best wishes, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan highly values its relations with brotherly Uzbekistan and attaches great importance to comprehensive cooperation with a close neighbor and reliable partner.

Arkadagly Hero-Serdar emphasized that Turkmen-Uzbek ties are currently developing actively and consistently, relying on the principles of good-neighborliness, friendship and mutual assistance, which reflects a high level of mutual trust and understanding. Taking the occasion, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his personal contribution to the comprehensive development of strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As was noted, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan successfully cooperate not only on a bilateral basis, but also within the framework of international organizations. This is clearly demonstrated by the mutual support of international initiatives and proposals put forward within the framework of authoritative organizations.
