The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking on September 23 at a session of the Halk Maslahaty, named the adoption of a long-term strategy for the country's further industrial development and the launch of a new stage of industrialization of Turkmenistan as an important task.

The Hero-Arkadag also spoke about the importance of adopting the State Youth Policy Program of Turkmenistan for the period up to 2031. According to him, the document will contribute to the successful implementation of the state's youth policy, the identification of talented young people and the upbringing of educated generations.

Speaking about the education system, the National Leader of the Turkmen people said that it is necessary to prepare proposals on establishing a national institute for the development of the education system of Turkmenistan. He also instructed that special attention be paid to preparing a five-year forecast of the need for teachers by school subject, which should ensure the stable work of highly qualified teaching staff in the country.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recommended directing the funds received from the introduction of innovations at higher education institutions toward supporting the scientific initiatives of students and young scientists.

Among the major sectoral projects, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan mentioned the fourth stage of development of the «Galkynyş» gas field, which was launched this year. The project provides for the creation of capacities for processing an additional 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year, which, according to him, will contribute to the creation of new jobs and to strengthening Turkmenistan's position on the international energy market.

The Hero-Arkadag said that during the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, the Akhalteke equestrian sports complex of the President of Turkmenistan, with 1,200 seats, will be opened in a festive atmosphere.

Also, according to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the opening of the second phase of construction of the city of Arkadag in 2027 will be a landmark event, and preparations for it must begin right now. An organizing committee has been instructed to be established to hold the opening ceremony at a high level.
