The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on September 23 awarding seven women the Order of Turkmenistan «Zenan kalby».

The decision was made in consideration of their great personal contribution to strengthening the independence, sovereignty and status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, maintaining the cohesion, unity and moral foundations of Turkmen society and of every family, ensuring the continuity of the spiritual origins and traditions of the Turkmen people, their services in the development of culture, the improvement of the education system, the provision of medical services to the population, the teaching of the younger generation, and the upbringing of youth in the spirit of respect for national values, historical heritage, ancient traditions and customs of the Turkmen people, patriotism, hard work, courage and bravery, and their especially fruitful public activity, as well as on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the great independence of permanently neutral Turkmenistan.

As noted in the Decree, taking an active part in the public life of the state, our dear mothers are engaged in raising sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and in preparing a literate, patriotic and hardworking generation of citizens with a broad outlook, and also contribute to the establishment of the principles of a healthy lifestyle: their work is incomparable in value. The services of our women in explaining and implementing the domestic and foreign policy of independent, neutral Turkmenistan deserve great respect.
