The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in our country on a visit to participate in the celebrations marking the Motherland’s Independence Day.

Expressing his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, the guest warmly congratulated the Hero-Arkadag on the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence and, taking this opportunity, conveyed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heartfelt greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

Expressing his gratitude for the congratulations and kind words, the Hero-Arkadag extended his best wishes in return to the President of the Russian Federation and the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. Noting that he was sincerely pleased to welcome the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to the ancient and hospitable land of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that the guest’s participation in the festive events marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence is a testament to the traditionally friendly and constructive nature of relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation is based on mutual respect, as well as on the desire to further develop a mutually beneficial partnership.

As emphasized, bilateral cooperation is regular and consistent. High-level meetings and negotiations make it possible to identify promising areas for partnership. In this context, the productivity of the negotiations held during the visit of the Hero-Arkadag to the Republic of Tatarstan in May of this year was noted.

It was emphasized that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan is developing successfully within the framework of the interstate dialogue with the Russian Federation.
In this context, the special role of the Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation was highlighted as an effective mechanism for bilateral partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Hero-Arkadag and the guest exchanged best wishes for one another and for the brotherly peoples of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
