The specific features of the work carried out during the road’s modernization, compliance with international standards at every stage of this project’s implementation, as well as the proper landscaping of the areas adjacent to the roundabout, demonstrate that road construction — considered a noble endeavor in our country — is being carried out in accordance with the realities of the times.

The Hero-Arkadag, who holds Akhal-Teke horses in special esteem, arrived at the ring road, where the monumental sculpture «Atly aýlaw» is installed, depicting the stages of a horse’s development — from foal to adulthood. The placement of the Akhal-Teke sculpture — the pride of the Turkmen people — along the fully modernized highway testifies to the fact that horses, endowed with human qualities, have been and remain, throughout the centuries, the constant and faithful companions of humankind.

As is well known, the horse sculpture installed here is white, in keeping with the wise Turkmen proverb «Ak zat alnyňa ýagşy», and its forward-striving posture symbolizes our Motherland’s advance toward new heights of progress.

Continuing on his way, the National Leader of the Turkmen people arrived at the fully modernized Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan.

There, the Hero-Arkadag was warmly welcomed by the participants of the solemn ceremony — the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Head of the Secretariat of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral agencies, the media, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country, distinguished horse breeders, and numerous guests.

At the conclusion of the show, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the ceremony’s participants.

Noting that the President of Turkmenistan’s Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, with a capacity of 1,200 seats, is being officially opened today in a festive atmosphere, Hero-Arkadağ warmly congratulated the Head of State, the people of Turkmenistan, and the participants in the ceremony on this historic event—the opening of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex.

Akhal-Teke horses, known as «heavenly» horses, have always been faithful companions to our ancestors. In the modern era, Akhal-Tekes are considered a vivid symbol of our country’s progress and prosperity.

In the homeland of the world-famous Akhal-Teke horses, extensive work is underway to develop the horse breeding industry and enhance the fame of these «heavenly» horses, the National Leader of the Turkmen people continued.

In the velayats, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, there are Akhal-Teke equestrian sports complexes that fully meet modern standards, said the Hero-Arkadag, emphasizing that in the city of Arkadag—built on ancient and sacred ground where Akhal-Tekes were first bred— the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, the «At–myrat» Training Center, the Scientific and Production Center for Horse Breeding, the State Equestrian Circus of the city of Arkadag named after Görogly, and a stable for 600 horses have been opened. The people take particular pride in the great successes of the National Equestrian Games Group «Galkynyş» at world-class competitions.

The Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan offers all the necessary conditions, including a favorable climate for keeping horses year-round. It should be noted that this natural setting provides the necessary conditions for conducting scientifically based work on the breeding of Akhal-Teke racehorses and selection activities. The design of the modern complex incorporates images of racehorses. The completed construction and architectural work blends harmoniously with the local natural landscape.

Continuing on this topic, the Hero-Arkadag noted that apple trees and carrots are grown here to ensure the horses receive proper nutrition. The «Babarap» apple variety, which has been planted here, has served as the primary food source for maintaining the health of racehorses for centuries. As is well known, «heavenly» horses are very fond of carrots, so a special variety of carrots is grown for them.

Alfalfa is also planted in a special section of the complex for feeding the horses. According to veterinary science, apples, carrots, barley, and alfalfa, as well as hay, are very rich in nutrients beneficial to racehorses. The presence of feed barns here will make it possible to maintain the horses’ diet in sufficient quantities throughout the year, said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

The Hero-Arkadag also emphasized that the complex houses departments and laboratories equipped in accordance with the latest scientific advances, where the necessary conditions have been created for breeding activities, scientifically based health assessments, and the study of the physiological characteristics of racehorses.

The complex’s main and administrative buildings are equipped with cutting-edge technology. In the administrative building, a digital system allows users to monitor the horses’ living conditions and feeding process, as well as obtain information on the racehorses’ sleep and wake cycles. Given the importance of providing feed for the racehorses bred at the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, plots of land were allocated here for growing apples and carrots, which are essential for the horses’ balanced diet.

Equipping the facility designated for breeding work aimed at preserving the purity of the bloodline and increasing the population of Akhal-Teke racehorses will facilitate the conduct of relevant scientific research and the comprehensive adoption of modern global practices in this field. This demonstrates that best practices were effectively incorporated into the design and construction of the complex.

The presence of warehouses on the grounds of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, designed to store feed harvested for the winter, will ensure that the horses are provided with feed at any time of the year. This is clear evidence of the conditions created on the complex’s grounds to support the healthy development of the racehorses and their feeding according to a specialized diet.

Then Hero-Arkadag, together with the ceremony participants, approached a unique sculptural composition installed on the complex’s grounds, symbolizing the globe and made up of butterfly figures, with a statuette of a foal placed atop it.

Here, members of the National Equestrian Games Group «Galkynyş» and students from the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev performed the ancient kushtdepdi dance. The rousing performance was the highlight of the event, lending it a special national flavor.

As a unique art installation in the region that conveys the inseparable connection between horses and nature, the composition depicts a globe made of butterfly figures. And there is a special meaning behind this: among many peoples of the world, including the Turkmen, the butterfly has long been associated with an open heart and is considered a symbol of rebirth, love, beauty, freedom, and peace. Subsequently, the Hero-Arkadag, in accordance with a Decree issued by the Head of State, the President of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Serdar Berdimuhamedov in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of horse breeding, his achievements, and his outstanding results in preserving the purity of the Akhal-Teke breed—which is a national treasure and the pride of the Turkmen people— and in enhancing their global renown, as well as his professional expertise, presented Liu Shucun, the head of the horse breeding company «Daqing Huiyou Breeding Co., Ltd.» of the People’s Republic of China, with an Akhal-Teke racehorse named Dosthan, a blue roan born in 2023, along with the corresponding certificate.

As the Chinese guest emphasized, it is a great honor for him to be in the ancestral homeland of the «heavenly» horses, to meet with the Hero-Arkadag, and to receive an Akhal-Teke horse as a gift—a cherished dream of horse breeders around the world. Expressing his sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Liu Shuqing noted with particular pride that his company owns 1,200 horses, of which more than 600 are Akhal-Teke horses.

In addition, the landscape of blooming green plains — which captures the full charm of nature’s spring awakening—will be of great interest to those wishing to take photos in the studio. The green expanses in spring, as vast as a Turkmen’s soul, present a picturesque scene reminiscent of a luxurious carpet. And photos featuring a beautiful horse amidst this blossoming splendor will evoke the brightest and most joyful feelings in young people.

Having visited the indoor arena located on the territory of the equestrian complex, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov watched demonstration performances by athletes in equestrian sport and show jumping.

The opportunities created, the flooring, the favorable microclimate, the special conditions for training horses, and the use of the digital system installed here are intended to contribute to the proper preparation and holding of competitions at a high level. Currently, training sessions for equestrian athletes are held in this arena, which fully complies with international standards. Next, the host, announcing the planned festive procession with the participation of 35 horsemen on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of sacred independence, turned with a request to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, People's Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan, Master Jockey-Mentor of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to give the start to the celebration.

Hero-Arkadag came out onto the platform in front of the grandstand and gave the start to the solemn procession of 35 horsemen, organized in honor of the glorious holiday, which began with an inspired song performed by Hero of Turkmenistan, People's Artist of the country Annajemal Nurmuhammedova on a white phaeton. Well-known pop performers in their beautiful songs extolled the Independent Homeland, confidently advancing toward new heights of progress, and the Akhal-Teke steeds. Inspired songs and melodies resounded as a hymn to the generosity of the Turkmen land, to the peace and prosperity reigning in the native Fatherland, and to the great undertakings being brought to life thanks to the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

A special color was lent to the present event by the organization here of a beauty contest of the alabais, a national treasure, given to the world by the Turkmen people. The jury members selected the most distinguished from among seven Turkmen alabays.

Then, following ancient national traditions, festive horse races were held among the country's master jockeys. The host announced the steeds and riders – representatives of each velayat and of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

Then it was announced that the jockey of the horse named Daghan from the city of Arkadag would be the National Leader of the Turkmen people, People's Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan, Master Jockey-Mentor of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At that moment Arkadagly Hero-Serdar came down from the grandstand and went out onto the platform, and Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov led out the steed named Daghan, whom he had specially trained for his grandfather. The Hero-Arkadag thanked his grandson-seyis and first of all, following the noble tradition, tied an elegantly woven aladja around the steed's neck.

After some time, the start was given to the festive races announced among the steeds representing all the velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. All the horses, changing positions, strove for victory. However, as life experience shows, it is the masters who win in competitive struggle.

So it happened this time as well. In the festive races, which became a kind of start to the work of the new complex, opened and put into operation during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of sacred independence, the winner was Hero-Arkadag, who rode the horse prepared by the young seyis Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov. The jury members announced that the National Leader of the Turkmen people was awarded the main prize of the competition.

At that moment Arkadag's Hero Serdar came down from the grandstand and congratulated the Hero-Arkadag on the victory. And the young seyis Kerimguly removed the saddle from the horse. Honored elders taking part in the solemn event presented the award to the winner. The young seyis, holding by the bridle the steed he had prepared, was photographed as a keepsake together with his grandfather, his father and the respected elders. Such moments leave pleasant feelings in a person's heart.

In honor of the wonderful victory achieved in the festive competitions, vivid performances unfolded, including by the National Equestrian Games Group «Galkynyş».

The start was also given here to the bouts of pehlivans, which have become one of the main adornments of Turkmen toys. The wrestlers who came out onto the platform demonstrated the features of the national wrestling goreş, which enjoys great popularity among the Turkmen people.

At the site of the festive celebration, as the first honored guest of the program «Bedew» of the «Sport» TV channel, the holder of the title «Türkmenistanyň hormatly il ýaşulusy» A. Payayev spoke with the Hero-Arkadag. The first place and the main prize of the festive races among master jockeys, organized in honor of the glorious holiday, were awarded to the steed named Daghan, prepared by the young seyis Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov. At this moment the host announced the good news received from the National Leader of the Turkmen people about the transfer of the award earned by the winner of the festive races to the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan, namely to the military unit where Sergeant Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov serves.

Wrestlers who especially distinguished themselves in the competitions were presented with domestically produced televisions.

The winners of the competitions expressed sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero-Serdar for recognizing the national wrestling goreş, an adornment of Turkmen toys, as a competition of international level, for the development of national sport, and also for the honors accorded at the state level.

The celebrations held in the ancestral homeland of Akhal-Teke horses demonstrate that the «heavenly» horses, which are the main adornment of toys and holidays, have special significance for our society. It is noteworthy that in the present event in honor of the momentous occasion, an important place was given to the wedding of loving newlyweds.

The President of the country, addressing the young couple, noted the symbolism of their wedding coinciding with the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred Independence of the Fatherland. Citing the wise saying «Bedew at myrada ýetirýär, döwlet getirýär», Arkadagly Hero-Serdar once again congratulated them and, as a wedding gift, presented the keys to a new apartment.

The happiness and joy of the newlyweds knew no bounds. The mother of the young couple expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and asked to be photographed together as a keepsake.
