On October 5, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the city of Arkadag. During the visit, the National Leader inspected the progress of work under the second phase of the new city's construction and held a working meeting with the participation of relevant officials. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

As part of the working visit, Hero-Arkadag first visited the construction site of the "Arkadagyň ruhy metjidi" mosque. Here, the National Leader of the Turkmen people learned in detail about the quality and characteristics of materials used in the construction and decoration of the mosque, a 1,500-seat sadaka hall, and a madrasah. Corresponding instructions were given to observe high international standards and ensure the completion of work within the set deadlines.

During the working meeting, Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag, and Gulshat Mammedova, Mayor of the city, provided detailed information on social, educational, and healthcare facilities being built in the second phase. Special attention was paid to equipping the specialized foreign language school, kindergartens, and medical cluster facilities with modern equipment, as well as the wide implementation of digital systems in accordance with the "smart" city concept.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan gave recommendations on landscaping the city's surroundings, cultivating fruit trees suitable for local soil and climatic conditions, and consistently raising the population's living standards. It was also emphasized to hold upcoming events dedicated to the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers and the key handover ceremonies for new residential homes at a high organizational level.

At the end of the visit, Hero-Arkadag stressed that remembering the deceased and offering prayers on the occasion of Memorial Day, observed on October 6, is a noble tradition of the nation. The Chief Imam of the mosque offered prayers for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.
