An international conference titled "Demographic Processes and Sustainable Development: Modern Challenges and International Experience" was held in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone. Leaders and representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, parliaments of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, CIS countries, specialized UN agencies, as well as prominent experts took part in this large-scale event. The conference emphasized that in the era of global transformations, demographic processes serve as a key factor determining the sustainable socio-economic development of states. Under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, national strategies are successfully implemented and "Ene mähri" maternal and child health centers are operating in the country, where human life and dignity are defined as the highest value.
During the sessions held as part of the forum, issues regarding the digitalization of census data, the implementation of "smart" and "green" city standards, as well as the comprehensive development of rural areas were discussed. In addition, important proposals were put forward on attracting investment into education, training competitive youth, maintaining environmental sustainability, and ensuring balance in the labor market.
Following the international conference, a Final Document was adopted aimed at improving national demographic policy and deepening international cooperation. Forum participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Turkmen side for the high level of organization and the excellent conditions provided.
