On October 8, a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The meeting noted the dynamic development of interstate relations based on deep historical and cultural roots and the principles of mutual respect. In this regard, the importance of such meetings for the consistent advancement of regional cooperation was emphasized.
The talks were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and in a constructive manner. The diplomats noted the strategic importance of the Caspian region as a key bridge connecting interregional transport, logistics and energy routes. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for regular dialogue and coordinated approaches to addressing pressing contemporary issues.
The meeting noted with satisfaction that the parties’ positions on priority issues of the regional and international agenda coincide or are close. The participants also discussed opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation and making optimal use of the resource and industrial potential of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan. They confirmed their readiness to develop mutually agreed solutions in the interests of global stability and well-being.
In the context of international integration, emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation in transport, logistics and energy. The significance of establishing sustainable and reliable transport corridors that open new prospects for economic growth was noted. Continuing this topic, the participants discussed common approaches to developing modern infrastructure solutions that meet the region’s long-term interests.
The agenda of such meetings invariably includes the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and good-neighborliness. In this regard, the foreign ministers noted the need to further expand cooperation in science and education, culture and the arts, and tourism, as well as to hold joint events that help widely promote the rich cultural heritage of the peoples of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
The participants highly appreciated Turkmenistan’s constructive contribution to ensuring international peace and sustainable development. Members of the foreign delegations expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen side for the hospitality, the excellent organization of the meeting and the conditions created for productive work.
The heads of the foreign ministries stressed that this format of partnership has proven highly effective. Regular contacts make it possible to coordinate efforts in key areas of mutual interest.
During the exchange of views, issues of cooperation within major international organizations and other reputable bodies were also addressed. In this regard, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue supporting each other’s international initiatives and proposals on global platforms. It was noted that coordinated action helps strengthen the standing of the region’s states on the world stage.
The results of the ministerial meeting in Avaza confirmed the participating countries’ commitment to deepening good-neighborly relations and strategic partnership in every way. The multilateral dialogue held on the Caspian coast once again clearly demonstrated the trust-based nature of interstate cooperation.
