President of Turkmenistan presents key initiatives for regional development

President of Turkmenistan esteemed Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented strategic initiatives aimed at elevating six-party cooperation to a new level during the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Head of State highlighted the historic significance of Azerbaijan's first official participation in this format, noting that it would further strengthen friendship, good-neighborly relations, and mutual trust across the region. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported this.

In his address, the President identified ensuring peace and security, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, developing transport, logistics and energy corridors, accelerating technological progress, and introducing artificial intelligence among the priority areas. He also proposed establishing a mechanism for regular six-party consultations among the foreign ministries and enhancing coordinated cooperation on international issues.

Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the strategic importance of the Central Asia–Caspian Sea–South Caucasus–Europe transport corridor and reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to make its Caspian infrastructure available for projects serving common interests. He also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in energy, industry, agriculture, digital technologies, and within the framework of the Smart Cities Diplomacy initiative, calling for the creation of new mechanisms for economic cooperation. Concluding his remarks, the President underscored that strengthening humanitarian cooperation and reinforcing the historical and cultural ties among the peoples remain essential prerequisites for lasting regional stability.
