The President of Turkmenistan, Honourable Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent congratulations to workers of the healthcare and medical industry on the occasion of their professional holiday — the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan. In his congratulatory message, the Head of State noted that protecting human health is a sacred and noble mission, emphasizing that ensuring a healthy, happy and prosperous life for people is one of the important priorities of the country’s state policy. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The congratulatory message highlights the ongoing work to modernize Turkmenistan’s national healthcare system, construct modern hospitals, medical centres and pharmaceutical industry enterprises, and introduce the achievements of medical science, innovative technologies, digital systems and artificial intelligence. It was noted that these measures create important conditions for providing the population with high-quality medical services, preventing diseases and expanding pharmaceutical production capacities.
The Head of State noted that in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses», the commissioning of the International Oncology Scientific-Clinical Centre, the International Paediatrics and Dentistry Centres, as well as the new building complex of the “Archman” health resort, represents one of the important stages in the development of the healthcare system.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that new achievements will be reached at these modern centres based on the advanced experience of global medical science, the heritage of great scientists and physicians, as well as the initiatives of Hero-Arkadag aimed at developing the national healthcare system.
The congratulatory message also emphasized the work being carried out to train doctors, improve the professional qualifications of specialists and develop international cooperation alongside the modernization of the material and technical base of the healthcare system. It was noted that cooperation with leading scientific and clinical centres, hospitals and higher education institutions of Asia and Europe has been raised to a new level.
The Head of State also noted that scientific and medical diplomacy is one of the important directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, highlighting the expansion of cooperation with international organizations, including the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the United Nations Population Fund.
The congratulatory message highlighted the importance of Turkmenistan’s humanitarian initiatives, including the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for assistance to children in need of guardianship. It was emphasized that, through the Foundation’s resources, humanitarian assistance, medical supplies and food products are sent to children affected by natural disasters in various countries.
