On October 12, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and the governors of the regions, during which the progress of work in the country's agricultural sector and regions was reviewed.

The governors of the regions reported on the ongoing seasonal field campaigns in their respective areas.

As reported, measures are currently being taken in the regions to accelerate the pace of the cotton harvest, gather the yield without losses, and deliver it to the state. Furthermore, everything necessary is being done to ensure the effective operation of agricultural machinery, reception points, and cotton gins.

At the same time, wheat sowing continues across the regions, utilizing agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity. Irrigative watering is being carried out on the sown areas.

In addition, comprehensive work is underway in the agricultural lands of the regions to care for autumn potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and other food crops, as well as to harvest and supply these products to the population.

The governors of the regions also reported on the status of construction sites for social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the regions this year.

After hearing the reports, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to accelerate the cotton harvest and complete wheat sowing within optimal agro-technical deadlines, instructing the governors to keep these matters under strict control.

Furthermore, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar ordered the timely and high-quality completion of construction work at facilities scheduled to open in the regions this year in accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahallyyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the Homeland.

It was reported that necessary measures are currently being implemented in Turkmenistan to collect the cotton crop in the shortest possible time and without losses, as well as to ensure its uninterrupted transportation to reception points and processing at cotton processing plants.

In parallel, wheat sowing continues throughout the country, with appropriate efforts being made to conduct the sowing campaign within established agro-technical deadlines and at the required level. Vegetative irrigation is being carried out on the newly planted fields.

Guided by the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to ensure an abundance of domestically grown agricultural produce, measures are being taken in the regions to harvest autumn food crops and supply them to domestic markets. Rice harvesting continues in Dashoguz and Lebap regions, while sugar beet crops are being maintained in Mary region.

Having listened to the report, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar noted the importance of conducting current seasonal agricultural work in a timely and organized manner—particularly the cotton harvest and wheat sowing—and instructed the Vice-Premier Tangryguly Atahallyyev to keep all steps taken in this direction under control.

Addressing the meeting participants, the President of Turkmenistan once again stressed that the agricultural sector is currently undergoing a crucial phase—the cotton harvest and wheat sowing. The Head of State ordered an increase in their pace, the implementation of necessary measures to harvest without losses in the shortest timeframe, the completion of wheat sowing within established agro-technical deadlines, and the full utilization of agricultural machinery.

Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
