On October 12, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Warmly greeting each other, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current state of cooperation between the two brotherly states.

The Hero-Arkadag thanked the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his great personal contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As noted, interstate relations are currently actively developing in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields, as well as several other areas. A key factor driving the positive dynamics of interaction between both countries is the open and effective dialogue established at the highest level.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that regular meetings held by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with the agreements reached, serve as a solid foundation for expanding bilateral and multilateral interaction.

Clear evidence of this includes the recent meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which were held in the National Tourist Zone «Awaza».

These summits marked an important milestone in further enhancing the potential for cooperation among the participating states. High-level meetings once again confirmed the commitment of our countries to strengthening mutual trust, good-neighborliness, and effective cooperation in the name of ensuring peace, prosperity, and sustainable development, said the Hero-Arkadag. In this context, the significance of the address delivered by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan was highlighted.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the proposals put forward to advance industrial cooperation, implement joint investment projects, strengthen transport and logistics connectivity, and expand partnerships in areas such as energy, sustainable management of water resources, environmental protection, and the adoption of modern technologies.

Speaking about cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan stressed that the transition of the CIS chairmanship to the Republic of Uzbekistan following Turkmenistan is a source of special pride and highly symbolic. In this regard, the Hero-Arcadag expressed confidence that the initiatives proposed by Turkmenistan would find practical implementation during the chairmanship year of brotherly Uzbekistan in the Commonwealth.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized, important proposals aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation across the CIS space were voiced at the Awaza Summit. In particular, they concern expanding economic ties, creating joint production facilities, ensuring food and energy security, developing transport connectivity, and deepening contacts in the humanitarian field and in combating modern transnational threats, including cybercrime.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the practical implementation of these initiatives will open up additional opportunities to support peace, stability, and economic growth both within the CIS region and beyond. To further advance partnership across the outlined priority areas, the National Leader of the Turkmen people reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to strengthen close cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was emphasized that within the framework of the high-level forums held in Turkmenistan, international conferences, meetings, and contests were also successfully organized. Significant attention was paid to joint cultural events.

«I am sincerely glad that the representative of Uzbekistan won the Grand Prix at the international «Tatar gyzy» competition», said the Hero-Arkadag, congratulating the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on this significant event. As noted, such events contribute to bringing peoples closer, expanding humanitarian ties, promoting and mutually enriching traditions and customs, and creating favorable conditions for the development of interstate dialogue.

At the conclusion of the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to strengthen across a broad spectrum of directions, exchanging best wishes to each other and to the friendly peoples of both nations.
