On October 14, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of Turkmen-European cooperation and further directions for its development, taking into account the existing potential and mutual interests.

During the conversation, a special attention was paid to strengthening political and diplomatic interaction and stepping up contacts within the framework of existing bilateral and regional mechanisms.

In addition, the parties reviewed the prospects for cooperation in transport, energy, environmental protection, and professional training.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular contacts and further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
