On October 23, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, reviewing a number of state affairs.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov reported on the preparations for the international scientific-practical conference "The Role of Trade Unions in Promoting International Labor Standards and Sustainable Development," as well as the holding—jointly with the International Labour Organization—of the Regional Forum of Trade Union Leaders of Central Asian Countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which will be held in Ashgabat this November.
As reported, active participation of representatives from international structures and specialized bodies of a number of states, including partner country trade unions, UN agencies in Turkmenistan, as well as the National Center of Trade Unions of the country, relevant ministries and sectoral departments, and public organizations, is expected in the upcoming forums. Their holding will be of great importance in the further development of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the International Labour Organization, familiarizing foreign partners with the activities of our country's trade unions, and strengthening interaction between the trade unions of the states of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches special importance to the development of mutually beneficial relations with authoritative international organizations. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to properly prepare for and hold the international scientific-practical conference and the Regional Forum, which will take place in Ashgabat, at a high level.
