On October 26, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and the khyakims (governors) of the velayats (provinces) to review the progress of agricultural work in the country's regions.

The khyakims reported on the ongoing seasonal field operations across the regions.

It was reported that necessary measures are currently being taken to accelerate the pace of the cotton harvesting campaign, harvest the crop without losses, and deliver it to the state.

Along with this, wheat sowing continues in the velayats, accompanied by vegetative irrigation of the sown areas. Proper care is being provided in the fields where seedlings have emerged.

At the same time, care operations as well as harvesting and delivering produce to the population are being carried out in a coordinated manner on fields sown with potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and other food crops.

Additionally, reports were presented on the status of construction projects for social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayats this year, in line with the country's socio-economic development programs.

After hearing the reports, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to conduct ongoing seasonal agricultural operations at a high quality level and within agrotechnical deadlines, issuing specific instructions to the khyakims in this regard.

The Head of State stressed the importance of successfully carrying out the tasks outlined in the country's socio-economic development programs to consistently raise the living standards of the people. He instructed that strict control be maintained over the high quality and deadlines of construction work on facilities planned for opening in the velayats this year.

Next, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahallyyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns across the country.

As reported, within the framework of ongoing seasonal activities in the agro-industrial complex, appropriate measures are being taken to harvest the cotton crop in the shortest possible time and without losses, as well as to ensure its uninterrupted transportation to collection points and specialized enterprises. Every effort is being made to operate agricultural machinery at full capacity.

Wheat sowing for next year's harvest continues, alongside the application of mineral fertilizers to sown areas and vegetative irrigation.

To successfully carry out the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to supply the population with domestically produced agricultural goods, the harvesting and delivery of food crops to local markets are underway in the velayats. Rice harvesting continues in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, while in Mary velayat, care for sugar beet crops has reached its final stage, with preparations underway for harvesting.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the vital role of the agricultural sector in the national economy and instructed the Vice-Prime Minister to maintain oversight over the proper execution of seasonal operations launched in the sector.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar instructed that necessary measures be taken in the velayats to accelerate the cotton harvesting campaign and complete it in short order without losses, perform wheat sowing with high quality and within agrotechnical deadlines, ensure the efficient operation of farm equipment during sowing, and carry out timely vegetative irrigation and weed control to promote wheat emergence.

Furthermore, the President of Turkmenistan underscored the importance of properly harvesting fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products grown in the velayats to supply the domestic market, bringing in the rice harvest in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats without losses, preparing thoroughly for the start of the sugar beet harvest in Mary velayat, and ensuring timely financial settlements between wheat and cotton producers and service enterprises for work performed for this year's harvest.

Emphasizing the importance of successfully fulfilling the objectives set out in the socio-economic development programs, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar instructed that strict oversight be maintained over the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled to open in the velayats this year.

Concluding the working meeting, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
