On October 26, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a presentation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book, «Neutrality of Turkmenistan: A Bright Path of Peace and Trust», published in the Japanese language. The release of this edition is a vivid testament to the traditionally friendly nature of cooperation between our country and Japan, which is successfully developing across a wide range of areas.
As noted during the ceremony, the foreign policy course pursued by the independent Motherland—aimed at ensuring peace through development and built upon the principles of good-neighborliness, friendship, and brotherhood—enjoys global support from the international community. This is evidenced by the high international prestige of our country, whose status of permanent neutrality has been recognized three times by the United Nations General Assembly.
The concept of Turkmenistan’s neutral foreign policy and its practical implementation in modern conditions are detailed in the Head of State’s book, «Neutrality of Turkmenistan: A Bright Path of Peace and Trust». Its translation into Japanese contributes to further expanding the international readership of this remarkable work by Arkadagly Hero-Serdar.
As highlighted at the presentation, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book, distinguished by its rich content, covers the historical, political, socio-economic, cultural, humanitarian, and spiritual aspects of Turkmen neutrality, the roots of which trace back centuries. The work also details the role and significance of the Motherland’s international legal status in developing balanced solutions to pressing contemporary challenges.
The book comprehensively analyzes independent Turkmenistan’s proactive stance in foreign policy and international economic relations, as well as our country’s constructive initiatives stemming from its neutral status and aimed at maintaining global peace, security, and trust. The work of Arkadagly Hero-Serdar also recounts Turkmenistan’s achievements across all spheres of life in the new historical era.
In his speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi emphasized that today's presentation marks a milestone event in the dynamic development of the comprehensive inter-state dialogue.
The publication of the book «Neutrality of Turkmenistan: A Bright Path of Peace and Trust» in Japanese is a significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
Participants of the presentation expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their consistent steps toward developing fruitful international partnerships. As noted, the successful implementation of agreements reached during top-level meetings and negotiations serves as a powerful driver for further expanding multifaceted interaction.
As highlighted in the Head of State’s book, the neutrality for the Turkmen people is a natural extension of their history, culture, spirit, and national character. Turkmen neutrality is an active, confident peacemaking policy grounded in its own history and values, while remaining fully open to the international community and cooperation.
The new edition was produced at a high level of printing quality. Great attention was given to the artistic design of the book, which is illustrated with works of fine art.
Thus, the publication of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book «Neutrality of Turkmenistan: A Bright Path of Peace and Trust» in the Japanese language stands as a tangible symbol of the steady development of constructive relations between Turkmenistan and Japan, as well as the deepening of traditional bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian fields.
