At the beginning of November this year, Ashgabat will host the International Conference and Exhibition «Development of Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan» (CIET 2026), where «Çalık Enerji» will act as the prime partner of the event. The international forum will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

Cooperation with Turkmenistan is one of the company’s strategic areas of activity. Among the major projects implemented by «Çalık Enerji» in the country, the 1,574 MW «Mary-3» combined-cycle power plant holds a special place. Commissioned in September 2018, the facility became the first combined-cycle power plant in Turkmenistan’s electricity system and an important milestone in the modernization of the sector.

A new stage of cooperation with the company is associated with projects aimed at increasing energy capacities in Balkan velayat. In October 2023, a decision was adopted to authorize the conclusion of a contract between the State Energy corporation «Türkmenenergo» and «Çalık Enerji» for the construction of a new 1,574 MW combined-cycle power plant in Turkmenbashi Etrap, as well as the creation of the necessary power transmission infrastructure to connect the facility to the national energy system.

The experience of «Çalık Enerji» in constructing energy facilities, introducing modern technologies, and developing power transmission infrastructure corresponds with the key themes of CIET 2026. The forum will become an important international platform for discussing the development of the construction, industrial, chemical, and energy sectors, infrastructure projects, investment opportunities, and the application of advanced technologies.

CIET 2026 will provide participants with an opportunity to exchange engineering and management experience, discuss promising projects, and establish business partnerships. The participation of «Çalık Enerji» as the prime partner will bring to the forum extensive experience in implementing large-scale energy projects in Turkmenistan.
